Rules 2020 - 2021
All against all are played in matches over 8 ends with no extra end.
The matches start at 18.30 exactly.
8th end must be started at. 20.35 and be completed at. 20.55 - otherwise only 7 ends are played.
In case of late arrival, the following rules apply:
5 minutes delay: First end lost by 0 - 2 plus loss of right to the hammer.
15 minutes delay: The match is lost - the opponent gets 2 points, 5 ends, 8 stones.
A match can, by mutual agreement between the teams, be postponed to a later date, but must be settled before the next round of matches. The tournament manager must be notified of any postponement. Finding an alternative date can be difficult, so make sure that only illness, injuries or completely unforeseen events can prevent you from making a team.
Victory gives 2 points - Draw 1 point - Lost match 0 points.
You take points, ends and stones, etc. in the overall accounts.
Remember to fill out and sign scorecards.
It is allowed to field a team with a selection of the players that you have registered from the start, however, a minimum of 2 of the original registered players - of course max. 4 players and a minimum of 3 players.
Should a situation arise where you can not field teams due to illness, it is the opposing team that approves whether you can get help from another team.
Here we encourage fair play, just as we also encourage the team that lacks a player not to try to strengthen the team unnecessarily.
The loan player must be a member of Silkeborg Curling Club and must basically play the position that the missing player normally plays on the team. If the borrower does not want to play that position, it is also possible for the borrower to play 1s (lead) on the team.
Finals & prizes
Once everyone has played against everyone, a total ranking is drawn up.
It will be the starting point for the final night, where rank 1 plays against rank 2 in a closed final. Rank 3 and 4 play for 3rd place, and rank 5, 6, etc. sit above. For the final, the team must compete with the players you have registered from the start, here it is not allowed to get help. There will be prizes for everyone.
Although of course everyone plays to win, the purpose of this club tournament is first and foremost that we should have fun, while hopefully we all get better.
Remember: Fairplay above all
